Pakistan Denies Indian Allegations on Hindu Temple's Demolition in Narowal

By Editor • September 4, 2026 • 1 min read

The Foreign Office of Pakistan has firmly dismissed the recent claims made by India's Ministry of External Affairs regarding the alleged vandalism of a Hindu temple in Narowal, labeling them as "false and politically motivated." This statement comes in response to accusations that the temple was intentionally destroyed to make way for a nearby seminary.

In a statement released on social media platform X, FO Spokesperson Sajjad Haider Khan clarified that the temple, located in Siraj village, collapsed due to severe rain on July 21. He emphasized that local authorities are already taking steps to assess the damage and restore the structure.

Highlighting the broader context, Khan criticized India for what he described as a "distortion of facts" and an attempt to divert attention from its own record of minority persecution. He urged the international community to recognize the ongoing discrimination faced by various minority groups in India, particularly under the influence of Hindutva ideology.
