Ralph Lauren to Open First Cancer Center in Asia in Partnership with Korean National Cancer Center

Ralph Lauren is set to make a significant impact in cancer care in Asia by partnering with the Korea National Cancer Center Foundation. The collaboration aims to establish The Ralph Lauren Center for Patient and Family Recovery at the National Cancer Center of Korea, located in Goyang, South Korea. This center, expected to open its doors in 2028, will be Ralph Lauren's first cancer facility in Asia and reflects the brand's long-standing commitment to improving cancer treatment and prevention globally.

A Hub for Healing and Support

The Ralph Lauren Center will serve as a vital resource for cancer patients, families, and caregivers from the Seoul metropolitan area and other regions of South Korea. It will provide a comprehensive suite of programs designed to promote recovery and enhance the overall well-being of those affected by cancer. The center will not only focus on clinical treatment but also offer holistic support, including psychological counseling, family education, and social welfare initiatives.

Expanding Access to Quality Care

Ralph Lauren's executive chairman and chief creative officer, Ralph Lauren, emphasized the importance of access to high-quality care, stating, "Our support in the global fight against cancer has always been guided by the belief that everyone deserves access to high-quality care and the resources that can help them and their loved ones through every stage of the journey." The new center will be integrated within the NCC’s Innovative Cancer Research Center, specifically adjacent to the Phase II Proton Therapy center, to provide a dedicated space for patients undergoing proton therapy.

Collaboration with the National Cancer Center of Korea

The National Cancer Center of Korea (NCC), established in 2000, plays a pivotal role in cancer control by integrating research, clinical care, and national programs. With over 2.7 million cancer survivors in South Korea, the NCC aims to enhance recovery and long-term health through patient-centered approaches. Han-Kwang Yang, president of the NCC, noted the significance of creating a compassionate environment for patients undergoing extensive treatment, highlighting the need for support that eases anxiety and promotes comfort.
