Samsung Ends Update Support for Galaxy Watch4 Series

Samsung has officially announced that the Galaxy Watch4 and Galaxy Watch4 Classic will no longer receive updates, marking the conclusion of their software support lifecycle.

Launched in August 2021, these smartwatches were pioneers in the Galaxy lineup as they were the first to feature Wear OS, a shift from the previous Tizen operating system that powered earlier models like the Galaxy Watch3. Originally equipped with Wear OS 4, they were later upgraded to version 6.0, enhanced with One UI Watch 8. However, users can expect no further updates, including security patches, as confirmed in Samsung's recent security bulletin.

The bulletin specifies the devices that will continue to receive security updates and their frequency, underscoring the end of the line for the Watch4 and Watch4 Classic.
