The tranquil Isamu Noguchi Sunken Garden in Lower Manhattan served as an unexpected backdrop for Tory Burch's vibrant Spring/Summer 2027 fashion show, where the designer boldly embraced a 'more is more' philosophy. Rather than opting for the serene atmosphere of the garden, Burch showcased a collection bursting with eclectic color and texture, reflecting a spirit of joy and optimism.

After the show, Burch elaborated on her creative vision, stating, 'I was thinking about how people want to feel joy and optimism right now, that you still need to dream.' Her designs aimed to offer a form of escape through self-expression, capturing what she described as 'opulent femininity.' This was evident in her use of rich fabrics and playful silhouettes, all part of what has been termed her 'Torynaissance' since stepping down as CEO of her brand in 2019.

The collection featured intricately embroidered 'granny cardigans', luxurious jacquards reminiscent of vintage wallpaper, and whimsical hand-painted silk details that transformed into feathered boas and pom-poms. Accessories complemented the looks, including uniquely designed pumps, striking shark tooth earrings, and high-shine chain-link belts. Burch also inflected an element of nostalgia into her color palette, inspired by the bold hues of 1970s decor, even admitting to a mystery green that the team had yet to name.
