The ladies loosen up comfortably in a steam bathtub or stroll alongside a stretch of dunes, usually rendered barely clear, as if floating above or absorbing their environment.
Berger locations the interactions of the figures on the middle of the composition, bending and arranging limbs, foliage, cloth or strings of stars into intimate, metaphysical geometries.
Her photos undertake a refined rhythm, typically even near symmetry, in a nod to spirituality and transformation. Exuding empowerment and a way of safety, the ladies wrap themselves round one another in an enthralling and protecting collectivity.
