Nestled high above the ground in Guarujá, São Paulo, the ES House is a stunning architectural marvel that harmonizes with its lush surroundings. Designed by Jacobson Arquitectura, this treetop residence offers a modern twist on the classic treehouse, merging seamlessly with the natural landscape.

Architect Paulo Jacobsen explains that the aim was to create a home that feels like an extension of the forest. The structure’s split-level design and suspended system enhance its connection to nature, allowing residents to experience the sea and horizon as integral parts of their living space.

Visitors are greeted by a garden atop the roof, complete with a fire pit, before descending through a reflective pool and into a spacious mezzanine that serves as the heart of the home. Here, expansive glass panels and a striking Glulam roof create an immersive environment that blurs the line between indoor and outdoor living.

The design pays careful attention to preserving existing trees while introducing new flora, reinforcing the bond between architecture and nature. Bedrooms are located on a lower level, blending with the treetops, while a meditation deck offers a serene retreat. Jacobsen emphasizes that the building's unique dendriform structure minimizes ground contact, ensuring minimal environmental disruption while providing breathtaking ocean views.
