Google Launches Pixel 11 Series with Enhanced Features and Pricing Adjustments

Google has officially unveiled its Pixel 11 series, featuring a standard model, two Pro variants, and a new foldable option. While the new lineup brings several enhancements, consumers might notice some price adjustments due to rising RAM costs.

All models in the Pixel 11 series now come standard with 256GB of storage, which is a positive change. However, the standard Pixel 11 and both Pro models start with 12GB of RAM, while users desiring 16GB will need to opt for the higher storage tiers of 512GB or 1TB. The foldable model, however, offers 16GB of RAM as standard.

Currently available for pre-order and set to release on August 20, consumers can take advantage of a trade-in bonus from Amazon, which provides additional credit on top of the value of an old device.

All models are powered by Google’s Tensor G6 chipset. The standard Pixel 11, while lacking the HiLight RGB LED found on the Pro models, features an upgraded main camera sensor with 48MP. It retains the same telephoto and ultra-wide cameras as its predecessor.

The Pixel 11 series also boasts improved charging capabilities, with the standard model offering faster 25W wireless charging, although wired charging remains at the same 30W rate. Google is banking on the efficiency of the new G6 chip to enhance battery performance.

Moving to the Pro variants, the Pixel 11 Pro includes the HiLight RGB LED and a superior 6.3” OLED display, which provides a sharper resolution compared to the standard model. The Pro variant also maintains a similar battery capacity as last year, alongside upgraded wireless charging.

The Pixel 11 Pro XL features an even larger 6.8” display and a slightly smaller battery than its predecessor, yet it retains the same charging specifications. Wired charging has shown slight improvements, with faster charging times.

Amazon is currently offering a €100 bonus for trade-ins specifically for the Pixel 11 Pro XL and Pro Fold models, while a €400 bonus is available for any brand. This is part of their promotional campaign in anticipation of the new Pixel releases.

The Pixel 11 Pro Fold has seen a reduction in size and weight, making it slimmer than its predecessor, although this has resulted in a smaller battery capacity. It integrates the same 48MP main camera sensor as the standard Pixel 11, enhancing its camera capabilities.

Alongside the new smartphones, Google has also introduced the Pixel Watch 5, which retains its design but offers doubled storage capacity and upgraded health tracking features. The Pixel Buds Pro 2 are now available in a fresh Olive color and come with new software enhancements.

Although a Pixel 11a model is in the pipeline, it won’t be released for several months, leaving the Pixel 10a as the budget-friendly option for now. With significant discounts available, it remains an attractive choice for budget-conscious consumers.

As the Pixel 11 series enters a competitive market, it faces stiff competition from Samsung’s latest offerings, particularly the Galaxy Z Fold8 and Galaxy S26 series, both of which have seen recent price reductions. With the Pixel 11 Pro XL priced against the Galaxy S26 Ultra, which has dropped to under €1,000, consumers are likely to weigh their options carefully.
