In a significant diplomatic effort, a Hamas delegation met with Egypt's intelligence chief on Sunday to discuss advancing a post-war strategy for Gaza. Concurrently, Jared Kushner, US President Donald Trump's senior advisor, engaged in talks with Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi in El-Alamein.

These discussions are centered around a stalled peace plan that aims to stabilize Gaza following the ceasefire declared last October. Key aspects of the plan involve the disarmament of Hamas and the potential withdrawal of Israeli troops from the region.

According to presidential spokesperson Mohamed El-Shennawy, Kushner's meeting with Sisi highlighted the importance of adhering to the ceasefire agreement.
