Russia Implements Tax Relief for Businesses Hit by Drone Strikes on Wildberries

In response to Ukrainian drone attacks on logistics sites, Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin has enacted a resolution to aid affected businesses, particularly those linked to Wildberries.

The new measures will provide tax deferrals and suspend inspections for entities suffering losses exceeding 5% of their annual revenue. Key provisions include a 12-month deferment on value-added tax, profit tax, and related insurance contributions.

Additionally, businesses will have the option to pay deferred taxes in installments over the following year, and tax audits are on hold until the end of 2026. The Finance Ministry has also proposed similar support for Wildberries itself, including extended deadlines for tax payments.

Since mid-July, Ukrainian forces have targeted Wildberries warehouses, damaging eight out of the ten largest facilities, according to the investigative outlet Agentstvo. The drone strikes have also affected another major marketplace, Ozon, whose shares have seen significant declines.
