UK Prime Minister Burnham Visits Kyiv, Offers Long-Range Missile Blueprints to Ukraine

In a significant show of support, UK Prime Minister Andy Burnham has embarked on his inaugural foreign visit to Kyiv, where he will provide crucial blueprints enabling Ukraine to manufacture its own long-range missiles. This visit underscores the UK’s commitment to Ukraine amid escalating Russian aggression.

During his trip, Burnham is set to lead the first meeting of the newly formed 'coalition of the willing', established alongside France under the previous leadership of Sir Keir Starmer. He will also accept an award acknowledging British support for Ukraine and participate in the country's Independence Day celebrations.

Amidst a backdrop of intensified Russian attacks, including a recent strike that resulted in 16 fatalities, Burnham emphasized the unwavering support from the UK. He stated, "The Ukrainian people should be in no doubt: the UK is behind you today and for as long as it takes." Reassuring Ukraine of continued backing, he affirmed, "Our friendship will long outlast Russia's illegal war." As tensions rise, the Russian embassy in the UK has accused Britain of escalating the conflict, warning of potential consequences for its involvement.
