Ukrainian Drones Defy New Russian Tank Defense in Combat

In a recent clash in Donetsk Oblast on July 22, Russian tanks equipped with the new Arena-M active protection system faced fierce resistance from Ukrainian forces. Despite the system’s intent to intercept drones, Ukrainian troops successfully deployed swarms of kamikaze drones, destroying at least seven T-72B3A tanks.
While some drones were intercepted, reports indicate that it took between 15 and 20 drones to ensure the defeat of each armored vehicle.
